We recognize the 21stcentury as the “environmental century,” as well as our social and public missions as a corporation, and comply with environment-related laws, thus aiming to implement environmental protection activities to the extent that is technically and financially possible. Towards this end, Mie Factory, Development Center and Quality Assurance Department acquired an international standard for environmental management-the “ISO14001” certificate, in January 2002. Subsequently, the President established an Environmental policy and every employee started activities based on an environmental target.
Mie Factory has conducted activities aimed at environmental protection of the local community since its operation started in 1975. Also in the future, we will aim at environmentally friendly production activities with consideration on conservation of energy and resources and waste reduction, and also strengthen environmental protection activities and related control systems also in other divisions.
